The price you see is the price

Every price shown on Vuhom is the whole price. Our fee is inside that number, not added at checkout. Only government tax is shown separately, because it must be. There is no booking fee, no service fee and no cleaning fee waiting at the end.

If work turns out to be bigger than what was booked, the operator raises it and it posts to your balance — nobody is charged on the spot, and no operator may ask you for money at the door. You can dispute anything on your balance, and disputing suspends it while it is looked at.

Deposits

In Ontario, damage deposits, security deposits, pet deposits and cleaning deposits are illegal. Only last month’s rent and a key deposit limited to the actual replacement cost may be asked for. Vuhom will not collect anything a province does not allow, whatever a listing says.

Operators

Operators are independent, choose their own work, and are never penalised for declining it. Pay periods and paydays are fixed and published; deductions require a written authorisation quoted in full; and access to work is not removed without written reasons.

Cancelling

You can cancel a service order before an operator is on the way at no cost. After that, what you are charged depends on how far the work has got, and it is always shown before you confirm.
